The Pain of Sepsis Relieved by Prayer!

“It was feeling like somebody just stuck their hand inside my stomach and was twisting,” Tanya Garcia said. “I couldn't eat. I had no strength. I was so depressed and so scared. ‘Am I going to live like this the rest of my life, am I ever going to have a normal life? What am I going to do?’”

“In the middle of August, my stomach started swelling and getting hard as a rock, and just very, very bad cramps inside,” Tanya said. “I thought maybe I was having a heart attack because my heart was just pounding. I was literally holding on to the walls. ‘I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.’ And that's when I went to the emergency room.”

“My cousin has had sepsis multiple times, so when I went into the emergency room, I asked them to check me for sepsis,” Tanya said. “They said, ‘Yes, you do. You're very sick.’ I had sepsis and I had C. diff. I never heard of C. diff, didn't know what it was. She explained to me that it was a severe infection in my intestines and my colon. So, they had me on multiple, multiple heavy antibiotics for the whole entire week.”

“My blood pressure started getting better,” Tanya said. “I felt like I was coming back to normal. They said, ‘Okay, we’re going to send you home.’ At that point I thought I was going to be okay, I’m going to get well. But I still was not well.”

“I couldn't eat any solid foods,” Tanya said. “I was dropping weight. I was fatigued. I was sitting on my couch, just falling asleep all day long. Couldn't keep my eyes open. I wasn't able to care for my granddaughter. There was nothing I could do. I was in tears, like, ‘What's happening to me? What’s going on with me, why am I feeling this way?’ I didn’t know what to do or where to turn other than to God. My prayers were with Him every night, ‘Heal me.’”

“It was the end of October and nothing had gotten better,” Tanya said. “I turned on the TV, The 700 Club was on and Terry started praying.”

“Your stomach, you have like an infection in the lining of your stomach which contributes to a lot of discomfort and pain for you,” Terry Meeuwsen said. “God’s healing that for you. Just put your hand on your abdomen. Just begin to thank Him for the healing that He’s giving you even as He’s doing it, in Jesus’ name.”

“I said, ‘Lord, I believe, I know that's for me. I accept it, I believe it, and I am healed by the glory of God.’ I just started crying with joy,” Tanya said. “The pain was gone. I immediately called my daughter. I said, ‘Let's go eat. She said, ‘Are you sure, Mom? You haven’t been able to eat.’ So, we went to a restaurant. I ordered some biscuits and gravy, and I ate. I wasn’t sick anymore, I could breathe, the pains were gone.  And from that day on, it's just been glory.”

“My strength is back,” Tanya said. “My granddaughter, I’m able to take care of her. I know it was Him – ‘Thank you, Jesus.’ He answered my prayers, and I know that if He can answer my prayers, He can answer anyone's prayers. It's just the most beautiful feeling in the world to know that He loves me. He healed me. Just a mustard seed of faith, ask Him and he'll show you. If He can heal me, He can heal anybody.”
